3 Day Gorilla Safari Rwanda gives you an opportunity to visit Volcanoes National Park to see mountain gorillas in their natural environment. The 3 day gorilla safari Rwanda tour involves a visit to Kigali Genocide Memorial, mountain gorilla tracking expedition and cultural tour in Volcanoes National Park. The safari starts and ends in Kigali.
Day1: Kigali – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by a company representative from Nature Adventure Africa Safaris Ltd who will take you for a city tour in Kigali before proceeding to Volcanoes National Park. You will visit Gisozi Genocide Memorial center, the handicraft shops, and the museum. After the Kigali city tour, we shall have lunch and proceed to Volcanoes National Park in Ruhengeri for an overnight stay at Hotel Muhabura. Meal plan; F/B
Day2: Gorilla Trekking – Iby’Iwacu cultural
Rise up for an early morning breakfast and get ready with all our gorilla trekking gears and requirements and transfer to Kinigi park headquarters for a briefing by the park warden. Gorilla groups are allocated to visitors in respect to their physical abilities. After allocating gorilla groups to visitors, you then move with a company of experienced ranger guides through the forest while searching for the rare mountain gorillas. Time taken while searching for these apes rangers 2 to 8 hours depending on the location and movement of these gorillas, but once your gorilla group is located, you spend only 1 hour in their natural habitat as they move, feed, play, swing on trees and rest, while take unforgettable photos and videos of them. After the gorilla trekking experience, head back to your lodge for lunch and relaxation, then later in the evening you can spend part of your time at Iby’Iwacu cultural village for storytelling, music and dance performances. After this experience retire to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day3: Transfer to Kigali for Departure
After breakfast in the morning, you transfer back to Kigali Airport for you flight back home or next destination.
